My Majors
-
Marketing Management
Marketing is all about value, I want to be a part of that experience. Where I can create and deliver value to the stakeholders around me.
The goal of marketing is to bring products and services to market that fit the consumers’ existing needs. Marketing is driven by data and strategy that determine distribution, pricing, and promotion. This major has helped me begin to master the marketing process, which requires an understanding of consumers that draws on psychology, sociology, and neuroscience, all fascination of mine.
-
Leadership and Management
With my extensive leadership background I was naturally drawn to a major that would help me hone and develop my skills further so that I can best serve the goals and people on my team.
Leadership is a social process and involves taking initiative and influencing others to get things done. This major helped develop skills for leading people and managing projects across all aspects of an organization. It has provided me with the concepts and tools to establish an organization’s vision and goals while motivating others to take strategic action that creates relevant value for stakeholders and organizations.

Lakes International Language Academy
K-12
Forest Lake, Minnesota
LILA is an International Baccalaureate school with the mission of preparing tomorrow’s critical thinkers and global citizens through language acquisition and inquiry-driven study. With a vision of delivering a high-caliber education from a global perspective that combines second-language acquisition with a proven inquiry-based learning approach, enhancing individual achievement, and building community connections.
Spanish Immersion
I began at LILA in kindergarten, where I was enrolled in the full Spanish Immersion program. This meant that even starting on my first day of school, we were spoken to completely in Spanish, a language I was only familiar with through Dora the Explorer. Yet, after being in the LILAs immersion program, I am a fluent Spanish speaker and writer.
LILA believes that learning another language is not just about communication–it's about opening a world of possibilities. From the earliest years, students are immersed in languages that help them become more aware of global cultures, connect with diverse communities, and build lifelong friendships. As they progress, they gain skills that prepare them for future studies, careers abroad, or even new opportunities close to home. Through this journey, they’ll explore the rich tapestry of global artists, literature, and unique perspectives, fostering empathy and open-mindedness.
